The battle had been tougher then Kaori could imagine, especially when it came to her own side of the field. Chich was being complicated; ever since he found out she was an ex-rocket. Ever since, he refused to cooperate, and Kaori spent endless nights developing a strategy, but it came down to just two pokemon each. The match-up could be better, with Veronica's Noctowl having the advantage over Christan's torterra, and the advantage only got worse....

"Nimbus! Use heatwave!" Veroncia called.

Fuck.

As the battle field grew hotter, she could see torterra wincing in pain with nowhere to go."Quick Kingdra! Cool the field down with brine!" she called out. Without hesitation, Kingdra shot water from her mouth, filling the ground in a layer of water, soothing the heat and Torterra as drops of water collided with the pokemon. Thanking Kingdra, she just nodded before both glanced at the trainers.

“I can handle this myself!” Chich spat as he turned toward his pokemon.

“Look I’m not having the best time either, but unfortunately we’re a team, and we need to work together. You have to choose a move; I can’t keep carrying you through this battle. Work with me damint…after this we never have to speak again.” She snarled. Chich stared at her, before turning toward his Torterra. “Kingdra, hold off that Noctowl!” she shouted before she turned to Chich. “Your torterra is working harder then you are. They deserve to be put to the test.” She explained, feeling his pain as he stared at his pokemon. It didn’t seem he meant to be so bitter, but it would’ve helped if he allowed her to help. Nodding, he sighed, “Fine…let’s end this.” He said as he turned to her.


“Alright...whats Torterras best attack?” Kaori asked her tone seething as she tried to calm herself. “Frenzy plant.” “Okay, use it. Kingdra! Cover yourself in Torterras branches and wait for my order!” she called. Kingdra, without question, leapt into Torterra’s branches. “We have to do this quick, before that bird uses roost again. Call it.” She ordered. “Naetoru! Frenzy plant! Quick.” Chich called. Torterra let out a cry before the thorny vines erupted through the surface. “A grass move against a flying and fellow grass pokeon? I dunno, Team A might be running out of options.” The announcer called. “Nimbus quick! Ro-“ Veroncia called, but was silenced a one of the large vines wrapped around the Noctowl, who let out a cry of pain. “Now Kingdra! Ice beam! Let them have it!!” she called.

“Whats this folks, not sure about this combo chosen by team A!” the announcer called. “What? Hey…I get it!” Chich called. Slowly, the vines began to frost over, as the beam shot toward the vine holding the noctowl. “Nimbus no!” Veronica called before the noctowl was frozen solid. “Finish it later, take care of that cacturne! Freeze the tops!” Kaori called. Shifting her aim, she froze the tops of the closest vines to Cacturne. “Ryu! Needle arm quickly!” Rozell called, growling, cacturne smashed one of the vines, but was soon blindsided by another. The ice mace smashed against the pokemons face. Weakly, it stood on its feet, attempting to defend himself as the vines kept coming.

“Uh oh! It appears Cacturne is on his own now, and it doesn’t look good. A wonderful combo of both grass and ice!” the announcer cried, as frostbitten, chilling vines continued to surround Cacturne. “Take the field girl!” Kaori called. As her ice beam continued to flow, the field began to haze over, the ground slowly freezing and chilling. Cacturne slipped and as he was falling, a group of vine maces collided against the pokemon, shattering ice all over the field. “Finish this!” both trainers called as Torterra and Kingdra cried out. The vine holding noctowl captive in an icy prison flung toward the floor, Kingdra shifting her ice beam back toward the bird. Noctowl was released upon collision, to meet with a head on ice beam.

The haze faded, cacturne and noctowl lay motionless, deciding the victors. The buzzer sounded, Kaori and Chichs pictures appearing on the screen. “That’s it folks! The first winners of bracket C is team A!” the crowd cheered, both trainers returned their pokemon, refusing to look at one another.



This is my "collab" with but that's a stretch because he didn't even come close to doing half of the work.

Here's the tale and hopefully I wont be disqualified for this, but I have to say what I went through. It took me a week or more to even get ahold of him. He didn't even choose the pokemon he wanted to use, and only tried to decided what his character would wear. I spouted out 10+ ideas and all he had no opinion, or one he wouldn't say. We decided to do a poll, I gave him three to pick from that was the most popular and that's when he finally told me he didn't like any. After a tiff he came back, apologized for his actions, so I accepted and thought this meant we could work together. After yet another poll and some editing of the sketches, he FINALLY picked one. I started the line work, he never signs on to MSN, but has clearly been on DA, and yet says nothing to me. Now we're down to five hours left and I was lef tto color this thing all by myself.

So yeah, my partner didn't simply resign, he just disappeared...from MSN at least. I'm posting this now, and if he doesn't get here by the last hour I'm going to post it. I kept his torterra in because I ASSUMED he would be apart of this. So hopefully the fact that this isn't really a collab and that its both ours instead of one of mine, wont get me disqualified. But after all this work and how much effort I put into this especially with trying to work with which was like pulling teeth, I hope this can be accepted. I sent a note to in hopes of understanding. It's a late notice but I tried to give my partner every chance to work with me and didn't complain earlier to avoid overreacting.

I apologize for the rant...but I'm just rather pissed...So...I'm going to post this, work on a story for the image until the last hour, if I see nothing from well...he should know how much he fails.
